Who is Otile Brown?

The newest collection of music by Otile Brown was officially released on June 3, 2020, under the 'Just in Love Album.' Proving that Otile is not only the best musician in Kenya but also the most outstanding R&B artist in East and Central Africa. 

Otile shared the news with his fans on social media saying the album will be launched on Boomplay. The album has 11 songs with some of them being collaborations with different artistes from Kenya and Tanzania. 

Who is Otile Brown?

Jacob Obunga popularly known as Otile Brown is a Kenyan independent R&B singer, songwriter, guitarist, and actor. He rose to fame after the release of his hit single "Imaginary Love" which features Khaligraph Jones. 

He released his debut studio album, Best of Otile Brown, in April 2017. The album was supported by the singles "Basi", "Alivyonipenda", "Shujaa Wako", "Deja Vu" and "Aiyolela". Brown had also collaborated with artists such as Sanaipei Tande, and Barakah The Prince, King Kaka among others.

Where was Otile Brown born?

Otile was born in Kisumu and raised in MikindaniMombasa. He is the last born in a family of four- three brothers and one sister. Otile started singing and writing songs at age 13. Otile is known for his affairs with Vera Sidika, a Kenyan Socialite. Their relationship ended in August 2018.

Otile's debut album Best of Otile Brown was released in April 2017. The lead single "Imaginary Love" featuring Kenyan rapper, Khaligraph Jones was released on June 3, 2016. The song was played on several radio stations in Kenya. He parted ways with Dreamland Music label in March 2017 and became an independent artist.

Since his breakthrough into the Kenyan music industry, Otile has garnered several awards including "Male Video of the Year" at Pulse Music Awards 2018 for his single "Baby Love".

Otile Brown To Pay For Meek Mill’s Concert In Kenya

Otile Brown has expressed his desire to have American rapper Meek Mill perform in Kenya.

In a post shared on his Instagram account, Otile Brown tasked a group of people with bringing the rapper to Kenya adding that he is willing to fund the concert.

“When this pandemic is over @nrgradioke @telehmani@ juma777999 @a1entke @joho_001 y’all bring @meekmill Meek Mill ntalipa. Blessed Sunday,” he wrote.

Shaq the Youngin who was also tagged on the post commented under the ‘Just In Love’ singer’s post, saying: “Let’s set it up @nrgradioke @otilebrown”.


    Meek Mill is one of America’s most paid artistes is an energetic performer and should he stage a performance in the country, fans will not be disappointed.

    Meek Mill is also an activist for criminal justice reform and his advocacy in the formation of the REFORM Alliance Foundation with Hip Hop mogul JAY-Z.
